I Am Told

I have been having the same conversation it seems For ever with people sometimes the same people and sometimes with different people the conversation is in dealing with the Homeless problem in this country I am told we need your input I am told people need to hear what you have to say.
Well I am here to tell you they in no way need to hear it, what they need to do is really listen to what it is I am saying,I do not think that all these great minds we now have and have had addressing the problem, fail to address the one point that matters most,where in the name of God is the money going that has been for years thrown at the problem I don't know if it is peoples fear that keeps them from addressing this issue or if it is that they truly believe that what they are doing is going to change it all.
No matter what they reality of their feelings on the subject you must step back and ask, what are we now doing and what can we do.because what we are not doing is making change, if every few years a new wonderful way of thinking comes on the scene and everyone rallies round the new flag, what makes anyone think change is going to take place as long as cities counties and help organizations are given free reign to exploit the problem?
It was over 300billion dollars last year 2009-1010 that was thrown at the problem and it grew exponentially.in 2010-September of 2011 fiscal yr it is estimated that another 423billion will have been spent on solutions a total of 723billion dollars and know one not the housing and urban development dept, non profit grant recipients,cities,states or county,officials have been ask to account why the problem still exist ,so to you who are trying the next big thing I truly wish you luck, but without you bothering to ask this question I fear that I will in three yrs be back here having this conversation with a new and bright mindset willing to try their next big theory.
so to those of you in the private sector that wish to help call you local politicians and your state representatives and ask them why is their no accountability to all these departments of government and of the help organizations that are funded year after year to fix this problem, or not, its your money to waste as you want,I just wonder if you really thought about it as is your money helping the homeless problem or is it helping the homeless helpers,because I can tell you people who make a living off of the homeless aren't the one's sleeping outside and praying for God to spare them from the elements. they are not the one's hoping for a hot meal at some time during the week and they are not the one's who are only allowed to drop in once a week for a shower and once a month for clean clothes,And I am one man who is tired of questioning them and being treated as if I am a disturbance and told don't come back here for a shower or you can only get food to Go from now on,but God bless you for all of the men and women who depend on these services for their existence,I just think they deserve better than to just exist.
But exist we shall and and if that be our lot in life we shall be here that in your future giving we might avail ourselves to be exploited by those you support even further, and again I say as Long as men continue to profit from the homeless there will continue to be the Homeless.
I wish I still had My head back there in the sand,Not knowing the truth had its advantages God bless you for God loves a cheerful giver..and I love you for the Heart you have given to us all in your quest for a fix.

My Prayer For You All This Day Church

I Am often asking What Is It That Others Are Looking For In Ya'shua,I Know That Many Are Comfortable In their Church and In their Faith As Well And Every Week They Get Up On A Sunday Morning And The Wonder Off To Church Where They Meet with their Friends,Enjoy A worship Service And sing Praises To God And I Ask What Spirit Is This That Would Lead Good Men And Women To Worship Lord In A Manner Not befitting A most High God Who sent His Only Begotten to Be A Sacrifice For Us.What Is Lord They Do Not Understand About You Where You Not So clear in your word that they Might understand. If  Your Teachings where so plain to me Lord A simple Man Not one Of some Great Teacher What Is it they Do not see, And Is It Not clear Lord That in all that you taught that we as men might try to thru your word Seek you.

And Then Did the Lord answer Me and said to me, Man seeks a God That is befitting Him for His life He seeks what is within His reach and His comfort, He seeks Only a God that Will in this life sustain Him, with No thought to those things that Come after, Many Are Called but few are chosen, now the spirit speakith expressly,that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies and Hypocrisy;having their conscience seared with a hot Iron. the whole of the truth is that people have believed a lie And continue to this day to worship therein it is not the opinion of this one man but it is the will of God That man repent of His ways and Turn from the lie and worship the one true God In that you as men and women keep His commandments for God says He who says He loves God and keeps not His commandments,wherefore is the Love of God in Him  in Paul's letter to timothy Paul stated that it is a fiend love,God will indeed set us right,and that you worship Him is of your love But you can never live in the fullness of God if in that You do not keep the sabbath,So all of you who Go to church this Day Sunday a day the Lord has indeed made Remember It is Not the Lords day In that He was Lord of the sabbath,It is the day Set aside and made Holy,so deceive not yourselves and be not deceived , it is my earnest prayer for you all this day that you get something this day from church that might turn you back to the Lords day and bring you Home to the sabbath May the Love of God be with you all this day and I hope you had A wonderful sabbath.

I am well and full of the text in which you speak and have had with many a pastor and teacher of the Gospel of our Lord Ya'shua and in that we must rather than take from text a verse that has been for decades used to stifle men like my self full and well knowing the word of God Go back to the first of Hebrews and as a study as In The presence of the spirit in which it was written read from Hebrews 1:1 one and it becomes clear He was talking of an assembling of the true church Of God in that It as followers of the way are instructed plainly to assemble as the true church Holding Only the Devine word of God as our pretext,you shall first know them that where sanctified by one in that they worship God in His will and on a day He and not the church set Aside and it is clear in the teaching we are pointed to that in verses 3-10 chapter4 and in that my dear brethren it needs be that we seek Gods people and any man found not entertaining the sabbath as Holy unto God shall in know way enter in to His rest,and my brethren If it please you in all that God has given you avail yourself more deeply in The word which was Given us for reproof, for it is in the spirit of God Himself that I have searched His word on this very thing and yes we are to come together in the true spirit of God and His teaching,And it is only in that that I avail myself to the error of His holy word being taught today and call all out of the churches of The false teaching and believe not in the doctrines of men but of God for in His word does he reveal Himself Mightily.

And unto the Church If In you Is found a Teaching and that not of God,and be found preaching another Gospel beware for you destruction shall come swiftly and God Shall In His time Reveal You for what you have done,I pray therefor for a true repentance within the church for the time of the Lords fullness is at Your doors,Be not found as the synagogue of Satan and be not found in the world But in the Way.

And a Happy Sabbath

There is a scripture I just quoted to A Friend It is Psalms 118:8

It is better to trust God: than To put confidence in man.

By now small thing is this verse Placed strategical in Gods word it falls in the middle of His word there are by No chance as many verse pretexting it as there are following it the exact same placing it at the very heart of His word,People ask Me Alot How Can you call yourself A christian And not Go to Church ? I Tell You I can Because God In His word assures me that I am the Church and the Kingdom is within,For me to Go to a Church every Sunday Would be slapping God in the Face,Lets Go true the First step,In Geneses 2:3 And God blessed the seventh Day, and sanctified it because in it He rested from all His work which God Created and Made.

Now Preachers ,pastors ,and reverends Teachers of the bible all teach that that is of the Old law and has no bearing on our faith Ok but You show me anywhere in Gods word wherein He has changed it,He set it aside and Made it Holy,That is to sanctify.

And who is the greatest of men that might overrule the creator?

I'll tell you there is Not one.

Many preacher would have you to believe that the commandments of God are of no effect these days?

that Christ fulfilled the law and the prophets,and indeed He did but in His own words Was He not Lord of the sabbath also.

He Never in His teachings,excused man From keeping Gods Law,Men would Like to have you believe That he excuses us When he truly taught that if we Love one another we have fulfilled the law and that is truth however He also taught Us and I say this to ears that might hear,If you Say you Love God and Keep not His commandment,wherefore is the Love of God in you.

I often teach this and to great offense to many,man can and will always try to do and end run around the Almighty and the greatest way to do it it to teach a lie and that not being from God It is time church to stop putting your confidence in men and turn to God look to His word and to Him in Guidance in your lives Trust Not Me or any other man for it is God and not Man who shall Judge you,But as a Man seeking the truth of God I will tell You it is Not coming to you from the pulpits of the world church,for the church has conformed to the world and is Not found to hold the truth of God but would rather have you believe them in all things.

God would if you will have you believe in Him and on this sabbath eve may you be blessed and Kept by the Lord until Lord willing I meet you here again

And saints in this find your comfort that you are not alone but that you have one who Advocates also for you in all things pertaining unto the kingdom we are now in these evil days that was being spoken of The fight we are in we are above all looking to men to save other men,we must first seek the truth,It being that our fight is with principalities and powers Satan's Grip upon mankind is to control Him with laws of governance, even the modern day Church leaders proclaim we needs be Lorded over by men who have your best interest at heart,it is a deceptive practise but we fail to recognize truth even in the church.

the rulers of the darkness of this world are clearly the rulers in which mankind and the church have set themselves on the path of. That is because men stand outside of the truth and seek it not,the truth is self evident it avails itself always and everywhere

but we as a race continue to deny it,out of fear,and that fear being widespread and encompassing men,And in that they fear everything but God the Creator of us all.

If You Fail In shinning Your light upon the darkness You Fail In being Light by Example The Lord Himself Showed Us the Path and His temples Have been overrun with the workers of iniquity If you continue to walk with them.You truly walk outside of the spirit.

For There Is Spiritual Wickedness In The High Places And That Is All The High Places.Give What God Has given you and Shine Your Light Upon The Darkness,Pull your lamp from under the Bushnell And Be seen.And Behold The Kingdom Of Heaven Is At Hand This Day,Even Within Will You Be Found Wanting Of The Blessings Of God In which You Held In your Hand.

I believe that I have been right all along and that men really don't care to solve the homeless problem it is truly about the money and the exploitation of men and women I have for the past 20+ years watched perish on the streets of this country,I've meet 2 people Mary McLaughlin and Bobbi Perreault,I've yet to meet the Lord and these are the only ones who have actually reached out,I am tired in this fight everyone says what we are doing and I have watched look around what you are doing is not working
with every passing day the homeless problem grows by leaps and bounds yes last 3 months you may have housed a few thousand individuals while 10s of thousands took there place are we so blind or have such a God complex that we have to wait for the whole system to collapse in upon itself,You can't continue to say we care and not change the direction of your path God is watching and the kingdom drawith neigh unto you,yet you do not see for there is no watchman upon your towers. Men only choose to see themselves in all things and their care of their fellow man only reaches as far as their own little world. homelessness I say again will never end as long as their are those that profit from it and everyone else keeps silent on the matter of it being a God given Right of every man woman and child to have the safety of a place to call their own in this world and to walk as equals among you know matter their station in life only then will we be as equals I do pray soon that men and women wake up for it is now that we are on the edge of the precipice we pull each other from the brink or we are over the edge If this great country can't do it how can we expect it from the world.A closed mind is truly the sign of a closed heart

an open forum for discussion on homelessness

I today posted on a facebook page a discussion forum where people might come together for the soul purpose of the discussions That I have had on twitter my face book account my blog and in my e-mail account it is to me a central platform in which we can discuss as a whole the problems we see in the present system and together we might be able to come up with the solutions that others have not working independent of each other, The reason for this to me is most important I want there to be a forum where both the homeless and the advocates the.orgs the .nets  the .coms and the men  women and children have an equal voice to say what they believe and to be respected in that opinion, I am asking no one to agree with the opinions of others just that we might each have our own and it hold the same value of others. I do hope that you all will drop by and have something to post or a reply too those who have posted before you.

God is in control

In today's society I find it truly hard to believe that People even in a world where we are but a mouse click away from the other side of the globe, Are so totally disconnected from what is going on around them.When talking about current events however I have found that most people are of the mindset that they will tell you I don't even want to think about it.
It's like saying please sir I prefer to stay right here with my head in the sand.
If you try to enlighten someone to what is going on in there little realm,in most cases they refuse to believe the truth and say to you that is not possible,just today I had tweeted someone that in 2005 the Us.Government had allocated approximately 1.241 million dollars per person for the eradication of homelessness,the number however falls a little long in that they did not account for households that had doubled up,in accounting for those households the number still falls somewhere by the governments own census bureau stats somewhere in the range of 1.002million per person,to me somewhere between the allocation of said funding and the homeless community there are some very beautiful silver lined pockets but this is just my guess.
when you look at organizations that are helping the homeless and see that for instance the national director of the salvation army in 2005,had an annual income of 126,000 dollars and why not God bless his heart all that work he has done to take men and women off the streets and put them in his subsidized slave labor camps, I mean shelters,He deserved to be able to have comforts not afforded his clients.
in the case of goodwill industries and in 2005 grossing a profit of 8.3 billion dollars,and i must say not bad for a non-profit organization.I am sure that they spent the money wisely,because it at that time became impossible for a homeless individual to get free clothing or shoes or bedding and such things of this frivolous nature.
saint vincent de paul society in 2005, feed by their estimates approximately 210million meals and that is not bad which means on any given day they feed 89% of Americas homeless population,and that's pretty good for and organization that only received 2.1billion dollars outside of their normal,721,000 million dollar private sector donations,bringing the per meal cost in at an estimated 270dollars per meal,man I am gonna start eating there again why didn't someone tell me what I was missing.
yes I do realize that there are overhead cost associated with serving the impoverished in this country,the clothing they receive in some cases and the rental assistance and heat programs,oh wait are not heat and rent subsidies covered by block grants that's right I am so sorry.
any way the discussion which I had with an eves dropper (LOL)covered allot of these subjects and it all started because I revealed the fact that it was 1.241million dollars per person that could have housed every man woman and child in this country.had it not been given to organizations that had for decades been failing in providing the service they where allocated the money for in the first place.
I have found that people in this country have a very big heart and do not want their fellow man to suffer,they want them to have food shelter and clothes,they believe that my fellow human beings deserve what I have and they believe that it is most cases their duty to help as part of the human race,they rush to give to causes that are dear to them.
and Might I say God Bless them one and all.
I however am not the only one who has figured out you all have a giving heart
I would say to you all once again if you want to give your time your energy and your voice to an organization,or if you want to fund them in their efforts please i beg of you to look at not just the above orgs but any who might seek your support many are there for you to give your resources to but you must ask yourself do I want to continue to reward these people for their failures.
Do not be afraid to ask of anyone who is representing you in your good faith efforts what is it you are doing? can we see your books do you have a projected over all cost,and who is it you are helping could we meet with them.to you as a cheerful giver and as an American tax payer have the right to know.

when You don't believe In Santa

Life was a much simpler time when I was just your average Joe on the streets of this country,only worries where what was I going to eat, Where was I going to sleep,And was I going to wake up to do it all over again,or was some marauding gang of young thugs gonna happen on me while i slept,life was simple then.
Now I have a laptop and a blog and am trying to be involved in this whole thing people are calling social media. It is to me strangeness, People are actually talking about things me and my homeless friends are talking about and have been for years.
I have found very few people on the streets that do not believe that housing is a right for every individual not only in this country but on the planet, thing is most people I meet are not saying anything outside of conversations with individuals in there own little circle of life,they discuss the issue's of the day in their coffee shops or their park benches but never carry on the discourse with others they might meet throughout the day.
It is a bit easier for me that i do know because homelessness is the only thing I know and is truly the Only subject in which I am an expert, yes I said it I am an expert I have forgotten more about homelessness than your average man woman or child will ever know, and I am glad because I don't believe that other people should be or deserve to be burdened with this life or the knowledge that comes with it.
The thing that most worries me however is people say to me almost daily why aren't you in a house what do you feel like you have to prove because I tell people who meet me face to face I don't even know if I could be what you call a regular person what I mean by that is someone who lives in a house.and everyone wants to turn me into a productive member of society.
and I am unsure what that means.
I am challenged daily by the obstacles I face,I spend most of my days picking up other peoples trash, I clean streets where I am homeless and do it well and am proud of it.most people don't even notice that all of the cigarette butts have disappeared and all the trash around the bus stop is picked up often people who work around these streets do notice I get free coffee at some coffee shops I have people out of the blue buy me lunch and I am thanked monetarily often without ever having to panhandle but that is not why I do it I figured out some years ago men where right in some church pulpits we are as Gods children responsible for this earth and those around us.
we are at all times to be good stewards of what we have been given,and that is all things we are given it makes know difference what it is, if It is a fine house on a hill over looking the city, or a tent under the railroad bridge it is given use to care for and utilize as best we can.
I can assure you that a man who lives under that railroad bridge will find more blessings in life by inviting in others to share his meager goods and scraps of food than a man in a fine house who never acknowledges another human being as having needs he might meet,  and the reward is greater. I have the full blessing of a Mighty God in that I have little and I am at know time envious of other men's goods I do however grieve for others that have Gifts that are wasted and find their selves in a miserable existence
It is not what God intended for men That is the lesson learned for men in Gods words to Nicodemus when the Lord Told Nicodemus, Give away all that you have and follow me and At that moment Nicodemus turned . So my blessing's are evident to me if only to me,I am not burdened,by the desire to have all the things of the world, I want not anything for Christmas,I Want only other men and women to find the Joy that I have found.

I am saying I am blessed daily and it is only because I believe That I am.I have only the desire To See that other Men and women who I sojourn thru this life with are truly happy I don't want them to be like me to have nothing that is for me For those that want a house I want for them a house for those that want a well paying job I want for them a well paying Job.
For them that want only enough to get through another day I want for them that.For those that read this and for those That don't I want only what makes you happy.
If I was to have any one wish, It would be for men and women to find themselves standing in the blessings of life and to have all their desires met,  then they to would only want the same for others.
Is that to much to ask for Christmas when you don't believe in Santa Claus?
I don't really care it is not a Christmas wish alone it is in every sense of the word a prayer.

I Praise God

I Praise God that even in this lowly state He chooses to use me,was so excited about being in Vegas didn't get alot of sleep,not excited for the reasons as most here not drawn to the lights and the crowds and the debauchery that goes on here.
but excited that once again i was warm and comfortable so I got up early and went around to some of the old tunnel camps and dessert camps just to see if there was anyone still hanging around,most of the faces have changed,and men have come and gone,and some are still here.
on my rounds I grabbed a shopping cart and was able to gather strewn about this beautiful desert,over 40 cans of various veggies,6 bags of rice,14 bags of beans,various boxed goods and bags of pancake mix,also found 2 jars of Greek pepperocini,and on a personal note "what respectable tramp would abandon pepperocini and where is it that a food bank is hand these peppers out i wanna start going there"
I thought I was going to take them back to the food bank,but there's a man living in walmart parking lot with 2 teen age boy's that relieved me of my bounty,and was even happy about the garbanzo beans, go figure He wouldn't let me leave without coffee Is not God Good.
The thing I can't figure is why is it that men who go to the food banks,can't just say I am sorry I'm never going to use that.And why don,t they pick up there trash. I Just even to this day don't understand it I have lost alot of my pride and my dignity,but refuse to let go of my self respect living in a world where I am not respected it is of more value to me than Gold.
If I keep finding food in the desert at this rate and don't find a food bank to take it,which the last time I was here i could not I'll get a stove and start having hobo meals in the desert at least until they catch me.

it is your responsibility

I have offended many with my post since I started this Blog and never was that my intent,I only speak from my voice of experience and not from a voice lent to me by some conversation that I had with someone who is less fortunate than myself.
and there are many who are less fortunate than me I have many things alot of my homeless brothers and sisters do not have i have peace of mind and a comfort with my station in life i have no great expectations of being more than i am,and I have most importantly a relationship with the Father Of Us All.God is most Important in my life and It is that that I wish to share with people,I have as of lately became distracted in the fight against homelessness because I for all of these years have seen no results from Good peoples efforts,Nor do at this point expect to see any results in the near future,people will continue on their path's doing what they do and the result will be the same while yes in this battle we have small victories,the battle will never end the war,I have been a harsh critic to those who advocate for the end of homelessness,and my reasons for it are simple.
I have Been homeless for entirely to long,the definition of chronic homelessness is someone who has been homeless for a period of more than a year, if that is the case than I must avail myself to being terminally homeless.
I have come to know thru facebook and twitter that there are alot of wonderful people out there trying there level best to bring awareness to this problem and for them I will continue to pray for them,I have also found that there are those as it has always been that pray upon the homeless,and are mearly trying to make themselves look good,it is their refusal to give validity to anything that a homeless man might have to say,that only strengthens this belief,but with them i cannot continue to rage nor to try to shed light on the err of their ways,but one who has profited from the misfortune of others in the end shall find no profit at all and in this alone i find comfort
It will continue to be my belief that legislation needs to be enacted to stifle the indiscriminate exploitation of the homeless,and that boundary's and accountability in these organizations that are mear profiteers must needs be put in place,it is a hate crime and a violation of peoples civil liberties to treat men and women as statistics and cases to be managed in doing that you are putting aside the human aspect of the problem,we as homeless people truly have no voice if we do not sing the praises of those who claim to be our voice and this is to much for me. I cannot agree to giving my time and my energy to an on going exploitative system so if you chose to give of all your time and money it is a choice you make and I will not be the one to Hold you accountable but there was indeed reason for the lesson given to us by one mightier than I when it was revealed to us that you will say have i not done these things unto you and the Lord shall say depart I never knew thee,so to all a warning!
be diligent be demanding of those to whom you believe to be helping others and do not be afraid to ask what they are doing with all of the offerings you have made if it be your local shelter your local united way or your pastor it is your responsibility alone to make sure those in whom you intended too,  received your help,But most importantly in your fight against this system,give your heart and friendship openly to those in need.

A new way of thinking

I Had A Very enlightening conversation with a person yesterday,who considers them selves to be educated having a college degree from a fine university,in southern California,and it truly opened my eyes to alot of the problem,that I have faced in dealing with people who are dealing with the homeless,this woman was comfortable using terms like Bum and shiftless lazy, and stereotyping me.And it made me aware of the fact that while she was bashing homeless people and not an advocate for the homeless many people who are advocates,are of the same mindset while saying that we are not all the same somehow view the homeless problem as one of mental deficiency,or addiction. It is a problem that I feel needs addressed,people need truly to think outside the box,homelessness is not a people problem it is a social problem,we live in a society where it is Ok to set standards for our fellow human beings and to classify them as being abnormal in some way if they do not fall into a certain guide line and at all cost to try to make them fit this model in doing this we set ourselves up to fail in dealing with the issue,you can take every homeless man woman and child off of the street tomorrow and put them in a house and you will fail if you do not first recognize first and for most in today's world it is their right as a human being to have a place to call their own where they can live as they chose and do as they please to say to a man we will give you a house but you must seek cure for your addiction,is to say to him in your present state you are of less value than the rest of us,and you are unworthy of this unless you change.

I have talked to more Homeless people over the last 20yrs of my life and I know that if you share with them as if they are equal to you in every way,they are more receiving of you they are more willing to open up themselves to you and they are more willing to receive from you what you might have to give, I have heard every form of degradation passed on to these people,my friends over the years than you can imagine,I have heard men say I am helping these mentally challenged people try to get a house , I am helping these drunks try to get into the shelter tonight,Never does a person say I am trying to help these brothers and sisters get what they deserve.I am shocked that people who say they are helping set guidelines themselves,that's what got most of the people onto the streets anyway they didn't fall into the guidelines we have,and do not say ever I am trying to help them become a productive member of society,Because if the society that you are trying to integrate us into was itself productive this problem would not exist, We cannot say why would I help this man find a home so he can drink himself to death,if that is His choice,Is it not as a human being His given right! should he not be able do get drunk out of his mind,and still have the safety of a place to call his own?

 

So I challenge each and everyone who has a true desire to help and do what has yet to be done to approach the problem that is before us with a new way of thinking.

accept all as they are being no different from you and make them your equal,in every way.you will achieve what those who advocated before you have not.

My post yesterday seams to have stirred alot of emotions in alot of people,and for that I am glad It has also seamed to raised alot of questions,and for people who have questions on this subject I believe they are deserving of answers.

I am posting my answers to some and Invite any To a True open discourse on this subject this blog is set up so people can read comments of others and leave comments please feel free to do so on any subject,As to the working model of the shelter system we have today first let me say I have stayed at shelters from Los Angeles,To New York City and all points in between I have been at this for a long time,The shelters In almost all and with few exceptions,allow you only 3 nights per month free,then you must pay,volunteer your time << sounds like work but they won't say that and will not let volunteers use that term,or you must enter their addiction programs.and this in most cases is what is required to have an extended stay,this excludes most winter shelters that being said the winter shelter is just to keep people out of the weather,most cities that have winter shelters they are generally housed at your local armories,national Guard gymnasiums they provide from generally 6pm-6am shelter,they however in most cases are funded by federal Block grants,they are allocated by block grants for daily needs dinner generally a bag lunch and showers towels shampoo,soap and razors much of which they often never have,because they are always asking for donations of these items.Most of the staff at these places are generally in the dark as to the allocation of the block grants some having been taken from the clientele and placed into there positions by people who often never deal with the homeless.only the money.

food banks,your local food banks are generally supplied by a larger bank in your state and are a link in a chain of what is called food bank networks,even to me the paperwork that was involved in this process was overwhelming.certain cities by there homeless per capita population are allocated a certain # of pounds of food from the network smaller towns having high # of a homeless population are given as much as a city with the same food banks also receive federal funding in most cases and are required by federal guidelines to serve in a certain way this process has no appointed oversight committee,the food banks issue this food as they see fit,they often go by there own inter dept guidelines single man gets this this this ,if you have know way to cook beany weenie's would benefit you more than someone who is in need of food struggling,but has a stove or motel room with a hotplate for that matter.but it is not allocated in this way.

It is a struggle for every individual who is impoverished or homeless and they often never complain or say I can't use that they say thank you and leave with what was given,and are grateful

most people who have know way to cook or to carry heavy cans.often discard them at times even stopping and throwing them in the dumpster.praising God for the peanut butter that they threw in with it.I do not write all of these things to offend people or to make them think they are doing no good but to shine a light onto the reality of what is going on I do not put the good hearts that donate on the chopping block God bless you for your desire to help,If you want to Help and donate I ask you this Go to your local shelter and see if they will let you observe what they do and see if they will let you with out telling you by there schedule,and trust me when I say things Run quite different when outside volunteers are availing themselves.drop in visit are generally not encouraged.God bless all of you who are helping But we must all who want to eradicate homelessness,come together as one voice and say enough is enough lets fix this broken system and in so doing mend these broken lives we have the funds the food and the volunteers and we do not need another org,assoc,group,church,non profit(stops too laugh),to pop up with the new answer to turn into a new way of exploitation of the disenfranchised,May The Lord God Of Us All my Lord And My Savior Jesus Christ Be With You All In Spirit And In Truth

How Long Must I Witness

everyone has all these same old ideas about helping the homeless and they keep saying and doing the same things day after day year after year and for 20 yrs I've watched as the problem grew and grew and people are still saying the same things. yet some how because I am home less I cant possible have any of the answers,Ok maybe I don't but at least listen and glean something If you have 10 friends try to change someones life give them friendship hope and a true community support network independent of your local shelter or help orgs.and trust me when i tell you you will have a higher success rate than any other program out there not one program has ever had over a 19% success rate,ever.homeless for over 20 yrs I've done the research,you don't have to trust me do it yourself but if you truly think that your canned food drives for the homeless are feeding them than you should follow me to any town in this country and do what I call,third harvest and watch me dig shopping carts full of canned goods from beneath bridges and abandoned buildings and anywhere where the homeless camps are.Look I'm not saying that some people are not helped by it.but I do know it would break your heart to see from my eyes.And you are truly trying to help from the heart,that i do know but how long much I witness your wasted efforts before you listen to the voice of reason. and to give to a shelter who will only help house you 3 days a month unless you work for them consuming your days which could be spent looking for work and if you do work paying them to stay there , or be a part of an addiction program weather your addicted or not your not helping homeless people your helping support organizations that pray upon them and don't care that they only have a 19% success rate.but do as you will but please stop saying your doing it for me and my people

the Love you shared with me

Apart of me is missing this day,anyone who has ever had the companionship of a dog that loves you unconditionally will full well know of what I am talking about.I surendered my dogs today to be taken to a shelter.For the reason still unknown to me I was vexed in that I felt as though they deserved better than I could provide for them they deserved a house with a back yard to play in and a place to be warm at night.they deserved food when they where hungry and a place to be protected from the elements.they where my friends and i Loved them the way they loved me.

I will Go on from here and my life will change dramatically in what way I am yet to know,I will never forget the friendship I shared with them,and The years we had togeather.It is the first time I have been alone since the time of my auto accident that made me homeless.But I have what is most important and that is a relationship with the creator of us all.for those of you who read this blog as a favor to me the next time you see a homeless man with a dog sitting on the corner of your city,please don't ask why would he have a dog he cant take care of himself,say to yourself is it not a beautiful thing the way that dog takes care of Him.
