I am a christian but also a proud American. I cannot ignore the lives that were lost to allow me the freedoms I have today! However with great power comes great responsability. The bible says that everything permissable is not always profitable. Just because I have the right to burn the flag,or picket military funerals doesn't mean that I should or that its a good idea.<br />I vote because the ballot is my voice heard on paper, its my say which I truly believe is a GOD given right. We as a people take advantage of our freedoms and don't purpose them to the Glory of God and that has been costly. We also take our freedoms for granted and don't use there powers for good. Individually we must come to a place where we decide as christians to be the example and walk the long and narrow road .I choose to love, I choose to give , I choose period! I learned 6 years ago that after Katrina it wasn't the government that God sent to our rescue,it was people .People from all over came to give and to help. Its unfortunate that we need a disaster to bring us together. It is because we choose to seperate ourselves rather than come together is why we don't see change . Everyone is too busy feeding the need to be right and worrying about what WE want instead of what God wants. The one thing the government, the church , and myself have in common is that we will all give an account to God and I choose not to waste my time being more concerned about the other two and what there not doing when I need to be about my Fathers buisness!I won't be here forever but while I am my concern is what HE wants me to do I can't control anything outside of what I choose. The left uses the term" christian radicals". I disagree, I don't think we are radical enough.lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08042578199179880876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-164674545360987729.post-35404208342402886422011-06-17T12:54:11.570-07:002011-06-17T12:54:11.570-07:00I absolutely agree with you. I no longer belong to...I absolutely agree with you. I no longer belong to any church, they ALL have failed in the ways you listed. I also no longer vote, and my Christian friends gasp! I can't, in good faith, support any candidate anymore. I'll have to expain that to God, I guess--. There is something so WRONG with this country spending massive amounts of money of defense while I struggle to feed and maintain the homeless young adults that live with me. I am NOT complaining--I love my ministry. But if Christians were doing their jobs, there wouldn't be too many hungry or homeless. Amen, brotherSharmannoreply@blogger.com
